Be a Volunteer
As a volunteer driven organization, we need help from our community to do the work we do and there are several ways for people to volunteer. Whether it’s an event, fundraiser, assembling our TLC Totes, help with a mailing, or staffing the front desk during the day, we are always in need of volunteers. This is also a great way to learn more the organization and meet new people.

Staff Our Front Desk
We have volunteers at our front desk every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. The shifts are from 9:00am - 12:00pm and from 12:00 pm - 3:00pm. The work load is light and consists of answering the phone, greeting guests, assembling some of the literature. The most important and rewarding task is greeting and giving a TLC Tote to someone who is newly diagnosed. We have training for all Desk Volunteers. TLC Totes Assembly
Our TLC Totes are given to anyone in WNY newly diagnosed with breast cancer. The totes are assembled at our location approximately 4 times per year. If you would like to volunteer to help with the assembly (usually a weekday morning for about 4 hours), please let us know.

Event Volunteer
BCN has several events and fundraisers every year and we need volunteers for all of those. We might ask to staff an awareness table, sell tickets, set up or help run a basket raffle, set up, teardown, or all kinds of important tasks. We publish a volunteer sign up sheet for each event so you can choose a specific job and time. To see what’s coming up, check our Events page.
