Day of Renewal
A breast cancer event for women in Buffalo and throughout Western New York,
at any stage of their journey.
What is Day of Renewal?
The Day of Renewal is a day of curated workshops hosted by the Breast Cancer Network of WNY.
Workshops change for each Day of Renewal but mainly focus on:
Learning something new
Wellness techniques and tips
Trying a new wellness experience
In addition to being exposed to something new, this event is also meant to bring breast cancer survivors, thrivers and everyone in between together for a day to forgot about their cancer journey, even if it’s just for a few hours, relax and connect with other women with shared experiences.
Each Day of Renewal is typically at a different location ranging from our headquarters in downtown Buffalo, to local businesses we partner with to host. The cost to participate includes 2 to 3 workshops, as well as lunch. Participants often leave feeling refreshed and ready to tackle whatever comes next, many times with new resources to help. If you are looking for a day just for you, keep an eye out for information on our next breast cancer event near you.

Workshop Descriptions
-
Take a break from the stress of everyday life and experience deep relaxation through a guided sound bath. As you rest comfortably, soothing sounds from crystal singing bowls and other instruments create a peaceful environment designed to help calm the mind, ease tension, and encourage relaxation. No experience is necessary, simply come as you are and enjoy time dedicated to your well-being.
-
EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), or "tapping," is a gentle, evidence-based self-care tool that blends ancient acupressure with modern psychology. It involves using your own fingertips to lightly tap on acupressure points, and is designed to support your body's natural healing process, help release stress, manage physical discomfort, and restore emotional balance.
-
Zentangle is an easy way of creating beautiful images by drawing structured patterns, called tangles. It is a proven method to promote mindfulness and fosters self-esteem, focus, relaxation, creativity, and stress relief. All people, ages and ability levels can create zentangle!
