Breast Cancer Network of WNY

Our Programming Supports Women Impacted by Breast Cancer from Diagnosis through Survivorship

We deliver information, education and support to the community through a wide variety of programming. Our programming is carefully evaluated by polling our members to learn what topics they are interested in learning more about. We also ask for their input on how we can help them through their journey.
In addition, we are constantly monitoring the latest news coming from the breast cancer community concerning research, treatment options and more. With this information, we create our programming schedule. Our goal is to become a one stop shop for information, education and support for those impacted by breast cancer. Our programming includes:

Breast Cancer Support Groups

BCN hosts and sponsors several breast cancer support groups throughout Western New York. Click below to learn more about the groups, meeting dates, times and locations.

Restorative Health and Exercise

Cutting edge research has determined that engaging in regular exercise is one of the best ways to prevent a breast cancer reoccurrence. As a result, we offer affordable exercise classes to all that would like to attend. Click below for a complete schedule of classes as well as information on how to sign up.

Monthly Education Series

When you’re dealing with an illness, knowledge is power. Each month we host a monthly educational meeting where we invite prominent members of the breast cancer community in to discuss the latest information available. For Those Newly Diagnosed with Breast Cancer

For those newly diagnosed with breast cancer, we have a program called TLC Totes. Our totes contain a lot of information and resources for someone who is facing breast cancer. Click below to learn more about TLC Tote Program and to request a tote.

Outreach

Part of BCN’s mission is to provide education and advocacy to the community. One of the ways we advocate for the community is through a financial aid program that is designed to help those experiencing financial hardships during a breast cancer diagnosis. In addition to the monthly education we provide our members, we also offer a Teen Awareness Program which works to educate the younger members of community about self breast exams and the importance of early detection. Click below to learn more about financial aid program and our other outreach efforts.
