The BCNWNY has a new home!
Jim Caroll of LV Wood Floors has donated a 3600 sq, ft. building and improvements to create a wellness center for breast cancer survivors. The center was built in memory of his wife, Carolyn who died of breast cancer at the young age of forty-four. The center is called "Bella Moglie" which means beautiful wife in Italian.
All of our activities have been held in areas of rented space throughout the suburbs. This generous donation enables us to expand our activities, provide a meeting place for our monthly education meeting with breast-cancer related speakers, monthly board meetings and weekly classes (yoga, art, exercise, cooking, etc.). Our monthly support group and bi-weekly metastatic therapy group also meets here. Members of the BCNWNY staff our building. An extensive library equipped with internet service and computers are available for use by survivors and their families.
