Adopt-A-Family Program Purpose: To assist breast cancer patients currently undergoing treatment and are experiencing financial difficulties due to their disease. To be eligible:
A committee of the Breast Cancer Network of Western New York receives referrals for the program and makes determinations according to the above stated requirements. Each person may apply for up to, but not exceeding $500.00. A total of $2,000.00 is designated for this program each year. TLC Totes Programs Designed to assist women who are newly (within the past six months) diagnosed with breast cancer. Each tote contains pertinent information aimed at assisting newly diagnosed women in their treatment decisions and recovery. Also included are comfort items to help ease the difficulty of treatment and advice from breast cancer survivors. Also now available, a tote designed for those experiencing a recurrence.
